French Breakfast Puffs –

The first time I had French Breakfast Puffs was right after I started dating my husband, my mother-in-law made them one Sunday morning and I loved them! They’re super easy to make, with just a few simple ingredients and people are always so impressed by the fluffy, buttery sweetness. This is still one of my husband’s favorite Sunday morning treats! Imagine biting into a soft, buttery puff sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar, paired with a steaming cup of coffee.

From their buttery texture to their delicate flavor, these puffs are a true delight for the senses. But beyond their culinary appeal, French breakfast puffs also teach us valuable lessons about slowing down, savoring the moment, and finding joy in the small things. This recipe is from one of my favorite cookbooks, my grandma’s Betty Crocker Cookbook.

So the next time you’re craving something sweet for breakfast, why not try your hand at making your own French breakfast puffs?

What are French Breakfast Puffs?

French Breakfast Puffs aren’t really French, this recipe is from a 1950’s Betty Crocker cookbook, but they do puff up when you bake them. They’re like a cross between a muffin and a doughnut, dipped in melted butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar.
