Social Security payments are typically paid out starting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. The next two payments are paid on the second and third Wednesdays in the month. If you’ve received Social Security benefits before May 1997, or receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income, your payment schedule isn’t determined by your birthdate. Payments are made every month at the same time, with some exceptions. | Social Security will send out payments on the third of every month. SSI payments will go out on the first of each month. The dates can change if the first or third of the month is a holiday or weekend. Social Security payments were sent two days earlier, on March 1, because March 3 was a holiday. The same will happen in the month of November. |
