Which Italian super SUV is the best?

Two Italian SUVs with supercar hearts duke it out.

Relatively new in the automotive industry, the concept of the luxury performance SUV has not only become quite popular among enthusiasts and collectors, but it has also been taken to what seems to be the absolute extreme. The manufacturers of high-performance supercars and luxury cars have unveiled new SUV models that combine driving thrills and high performance with comfort, practicality and everyday enjoyment. Lamborghini was the first to unveil its SUV: the Urus. It arrived for the 2018 Model Year, following its 2012 concept version that received positive feedback. The Ferrari Purosangue was revealed in 2022 after years of speculation about a Ferrari SUV. According to Ferrari, the Purosangue is, rather than an SUV, the manufacturer’s first “four-door four-seater.”

Both vehicles combine supercar-level performance and style with luxury, practicality, and comfort, but which one is better? Keep reading, and you’ll find out how the Ferrari Purosangue and the Lamborghini Urus stack up next to each other.

While the Ferrari Purosangue is the first of its kind within Ferrari’s lineup, the manufacturer ensured that it would stay true to Ferrari’s roots, and imbued it with thrilling dynamics and robust performance, including four-wheel steering, and a 49:51 weight distribution.
