Volkswagen Refreshes Golf R and Golf GTI 2025 in Grand Fashion: Automotive Addicts
The performance hatchbacks are compact for city maneuvering and parking, versatile to load up your mountain bike for trail rides, practical for daily chores, and sporty enough to produce endorphins in heavy doses. The GTI is available in three versions: S for $32,445, the SE for $37.420 or the Autobahn at $40.880. The vehicle received the following enhancements for the 2025 model year:

I then pushed the car, gripping the flat-bottomed, red-stitched, thick steering wheel and interacting with its four drive modes. This package consists of a sunroof deletion, ArtVelours seating, 19″ forged aluminum rims and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust with richer tones. This package will reduce weight by about 80 pounds. The R is equipped with a large bilevel tailgate spoiler which increases downforce. The interior is similar to GTI except for a few callouts, such as 7 Drive Modes (Eco, Sport, Comfort, Race, Drift, Special, and Custom).
After the warmup up from the GTI touring drive, it was time for the track where the action is at. The 328 horsepower (13 hp more) and 295 lb.ft. torque of the 2-liter TSI evo4 is what gives this car its high performance. The 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, with paddle shifters, and launch control is also available for exciting runs. The hot hatch handled switchbacks with the same Brazilian futbol footwork as it was stuck on Summit Point. The 4Motion with R Performance Torque vectoring, direct steering, and bolstered seat bring out Tanner Foust within us all. The pro driver himself was there to offer his expertise and guidance. He suggested setting the vehicle to Race mode which prevents the R from intervening or upshifting excessively. Then I let her go! The German automaker sponsors U.S. Soccer.
