F. Scott Fitzgerald said to Hemingway, “The rich are not like you or me.” The other author responded: “Yes they have more money.”

True. Let’s go a little deeper. The reason the rich have more money, I believe, is that they think differently.

My family was wealthy. Most of their friends were also wealthy. I have talked to thousands of wealthy women over the years. I made a note of what I hear them saying or implying. I found 9 common threads which seemed to reflect how these women think.

I’m confident in my ability to build wealth. It’s in my self-image.

I value money and respect myself.

1. I follow financial basics.
2. I don’t see any obstacles. Only opportunities.
3. I talk possibility. Not limitation.
4. I’m willing to do the tough stuff (that scares everyone else including me! )
5. I know how to use risk to amplify my wealth.
6. I rely on a team to help me manage my money.
7. I take responsibility…for everything.
