The Buzz-Worthy Looks From the 2024 MTV VMA Awards

New York Fashion Week just wrapped. London Fashion Week is a-go. The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival remains in full swing, and last night bestowed upon us the 2024 MTV VMA Awards.

More commonly abbreviated to as the VMAs, this year’s showcase was held at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 11, 2024 and commemorated the event’s 40th anniversary. The splashy showcase of the best musical talents from across the globe, the night generated performances from Sabrina Carpenter (who performed at the award show for the second year in a row, and embraced all things space and extraterrestrial), Shawn Mendes (performing Nobody Knows) and Chappell Roan who took to the stage in medieval battle gear.

Earlier in the night, it was the red carpet arrivals at the 2024 MTV VMA Awards which truly commanded our attention most. Sabrina Carpenter dazzled upon her arrival, having opted for a vintage beaded Bob Mackie creation, originally worn by Madonna to the 1991 Oscars. Taylor Swift (becoming the most decorated solo artist of all time at the ceremony) opted for a plaid Christian Dior number and gave the iconic Cher Horowitz Clueless look a punk rock twist. Elsewhere on the red carpet, Addison Rae turned heads in a custom white set from Miss Claire Sullivan.
