The 6 Best Hotels In Nashville (Updated for 2024).
Nashville, known for its southern charm and rich musical heritage, is one of my favourite cities in the U.S. This city offers something for everyone, whether you are a fan of country music or a foodie who wants to enjoy some mouthwatering BBQ.
As a popular weekend destination (and bachelor/bachelorette hotspot), there are a lot of hotels here to choose from here. I have visited the city several times and stayed in some really cool and unique hotels. I’ve stayed in some hotels that aren’t worth your money (or time). Here’s my list of favorite Nashville hotels so that you can enjoy your stay, plan your trip and have fun in Music City.
. The Russell
This boutique hotel is located in a brick church dating back to the early 20th Century. The original features were kept, including the stained-glass, brick walls and pews that are now headboards. The hotel donates a portion to non-profits that assist those who are homeless, in keeping with its history of helping the East Nashville Community. The Russell has a vibrant lobby, high ceilings and eclectic furniture. It also offers complimentary tea and coffee. The 23 rooms are decorated differently (with local artwork and other items) by one of Nashville’s most renowned designers. The rooms are equipped with the usual hotel amenities such as a flatscreen television, free toiletries and minifridges, Keurig coffee makers, desks, and some extras like a noise maker and a basket of complimentary local snacks. The bathrooms have colorful tiles and mirrors shaped like church windows. It’s an unique place to stay, located in East Nashville. This cool part of the city is full of unpretentious restaurants and bars, as well as cutting-edge galleries and cocktail bars. There is also a parking space available for free across the street if you are on a roadtrip.

2. Placemakr SoBro
If your plan is to stay in the city for some time or you want a kitchen at home, this hotel has fully furnished studios, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom apartment. The apartments are all industrial chic, with exposed pipes and tall ceilings. They also have colorful artwork on their walls. Large windows allow for a lot more light, and also give you a great view of the city. The rooftop lounge and pool area offers even more views. It’s also close to the main attractions of Nashville (like the Johnny Cash Museum or the Ryman Auditorium). Some units have their own balcony. The Sun Diner is just a few blocks away, and offers a 24/7 breakfast. Retro, kitschy and fun, it pays homage to legendary Sun Records artists like Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash while serving Southern favorites. It’s my favorite place to eat when I come.

3. 1 Hotel Nashville
When I want to splash out on a luxury stay, this is the hotel I choose. It’s a five-star hotel with over 56,000 plants covering the facade. I also love their commitment to sustainability. From breakfast to dinner, the hotel restaurant offers farm-to table cuisine made with sustainably sourced ingredients. You can also reserve an electric Audi car for a day-trip. The 24/7 fitness center is a great feature for me as a gym enthusiast (they also offer free group fitness classes to hotel guests). If you’re looking for something more relaxing, there is also a full service wellness spa. The spacious rooms have wood-paneled wall and are flooded with light from the floor-to ceiling windows. The pillows are made from sustainably sourced materials and the beds are very comfortable. In-room amenities include 55 inch flatscreen TVs with Nespresso machines and minibars. The fact that each faucet is equipped with a filter means you can fill your own bottles or use the upcycled wine bottles provided to avoid using single-use plastic bottles. The bathrooms may be a little on the small side, but I really like the rain showers and the comfortable bathrobes. The eco-friendly products are also complimentary. Book here!
4. Bode
This hotel features comfortable apartments and suites just a few blocks away from the Honky Tonk Highway, and all of the city’s museum. It’s the best deal in the area. It’s a new hotel, with no staff (you check-in online and receive a keycode), but I love that there is a retro cafe and cocktail bar (that offers breakfast sandwiches and smoothies). There’s still buzz around. The outdoor space is huge and has loungers, corn hole, and fire pits. As a solo tourist, I appreciate when hotels provide communal areas that allow travelers to interact. The rooms are warm, contemporary and have really comfortable beds. The rooms are equipped with a flatscreen television, a tea/coffee machine, and microwave. Apartments have a kitchenette, which includes a fridge, a dishwasher and a microwave. The larger apartments have even fun features such as foosball table. This is the perfect option for travelers on a budget who are looking for a central location.

5. The Graduate
If Dolly Parton is your favorite singer, then you must stay at this hotel. This boutique four-star hotel is completely Dolly themed, with bright colors and a retro-style, as well as vibrant art and memorabilia inspired by Dolly. It’s so kitschy. Three restaurants are on-site: a breakfast cafe in the lobby, a rooftop cocktail bar that offers panoramic views of the city and, on weekends, a karaoke room with animatronic backing band. The rooftop pool is also available, but it comes at an extra cost. It’s also tiny and requires reservations, so it’s best to skip it. The rooms have a country-glam style, with stripes on the walls, carpets in bright patterns, and portraits over headboards of country stars. Each room has a velvet chair, a large desk, a tea/coffee electric kettle, and a TV with flatscreen. Bathrooms are black and white tiled, and have pedestal sinks with complimentary toiletries. The carnival-like atmosphere is not for everyone. There are many bachelorette parties, and there are influencers who take photos on the weekends. But if you’re looking for something unique, then this is it!

6. Waymore’s Guest House & Club Casual
This hip, three-star hotel offers a more affordable alternative to the noisy Dolly Hotel. The cafe in the hotel lobby serves breakfast and bar snacks all day. I like being able to grab a bite after exploring. The rooftop has a cool cocktail bar and DJ nights. They offer a wide range of rooms including standard hotel rooms and rooms with bunkbeds. If you are traveling in a large group, they also have suites that include kitchenettes. All rooms have writing desks and wall art from the local area. The mini-bar is also stocked with local snacks. The bathrooms have walk-in showers, and are spacious. They also come with high-quality products. It’s a good choice for travelers looking for something simple yet stylish and affordable in East Nashville.
