Spierig Brothers, ‘Jigsaw Filmmakers’, to Make ‘Headless Movie’

EXCLUSIVE: Noted genre filmmaking duo The Spierig Brothers, known for movies including Daybreakers, Jigsaw, Winchester and the upcoming Fall 2, are set to direct Headless, a contemporary re-imagining of the Headless Horseman mythology.

The synopsis, with nods to Mad Max or The Terminator reads as follows: A rudderless gypsy hitchhiker, and a woman driven by revenge for the death of her family, must stop the semi-immortal motorcycle ghoul, which feeds on the carnage that it causes along desert highways, by decapitating and getting the head far enough from the still-living, relentlessly pursuing body.
