Roku & Rakuten To Speak At MIPCOM Cannes In Global Streamer Talks

Bosses from Roku, Rakuten and other global streaming companies will be on stage next month at MIPCOM Cannes to discuss the future of the industry.
The talks will be grouped into a MIP Innovation Lab that will bring together a ConnectedTV Summit, a Global Fast & AVoD strand and an Applied AI Summit.
Evan Shapiro is an analyst and self-styled Media Cartographer who will host the global streamer talk that will feature Roku Content Boss David Eilenberg, and Rakuten CEO Cedric Dufour.
The sessions will be held on Tuesday, October 22, starting at 9 am CET (12 am PT). Other speakers include TF1’s Deputy General Manager Claire Basini; Euronews’ Chief Business Officer Maxime carboni; and Justin Sampson who runs UK rating body Barb.


Global streamer talks is described as follows: “Join Evan Shapiro in a series interviews with leaders of streaming and digital platforms to learn how they are navigating market challenges, developing innovative strategies and forming effective partnerships.”

MIPCOM, in recent years has chosen to group certain sessions into broad themes such as FAST and AI.

MIPCOM Cannes is now in its 40th anniversary. It will take place from October 21-24, this year. Previous keynotes included Sony Pictures Entertainment CEO Tony Vinciquerra, and Paramount Chief content licensing officer Dan Cohen.
