Rimac Nevera R surpasses 2,000 horsepower
The Nevera R takes the basic idea of the regular model, but adds power and more to make it an even more capable machine. The Nevera R is a modified version of the standard model with more power, making it a more capable vehicle. It will also reach 60 mph in only 1.74 seconds and complete the quarter-mile within 8.23 seconds. This is nearly 0.4 seconds faster than the base model. The top speed is 256 miles per hour. The overall capacity has been reduced from 120 kWh down to 108.
Other improvements include new Michelin Cup 2 Tires, retuned motor torque vectoring, upgraded carbon ceramic brakes and a new suspension geometry that features more negative camber. The rear wing and diffuser are also styled differently, making the Nevera R appear more like a brand new car than a high performance version of a current model. The upgrades to the Nevera R allow it lap the Nardo Handling Track up to 3.8 seconds quicker than the standard Nevera. We can’t wait to see it tackle the Nurburgring.
Pricing hasn’t been announced, but it will surely be in the seven-figure range. Only 40 Nevera Rs are being sold (most likely a few at the unveiling).
