Recipe for Chicken with Coconut Kale
For your chicken seasoning you will want to use a mixture that contains spices such as paprika or onion powder. You can also add garlic powder and/or salt. If you don’t have a spice blend, I recommend using the spices from our Air Fryer Chicken. The spices in the chicken are important for both the flavor and caramelization of the dish. If you use a sugar-based chicken seasoning, the dish will taste sweeter, and more bits of browned food will stick to the bottom. You want the chicken to be cooked to 165 degrees internally. I use this meat temperature all the time, and love it. The one that is more affordable works just as well. (affiliate link)
I use a ceramic nonstick (Nordic Ware Basalt Scillet – affiliate links) for this recipe and it has incredible release properties, so I rarely have to clean the pan! If you are using an old nonstick pan or another type that is holding on to a lot brown or burned bits of chicken, you should wipe out the pan before starting the sauce. The sauce will stay golden and light. This is pan-dependent. I do not need to wipe the sauce down on my Nordic Ware nonstick, but other pans require it to prevent too much browning.
