My favorite non-alcoholic beers – Pinch of Yum
(But it all starts with my husband. My husband Bjork made a decision to quit drinking alcohol five years ago. He did so on the spot. And a year became two, and then two years into five. I have never made the same grand statements about my drinking as he has, and tend to make less black-and white decisions (there is room for everyone!). Bjork’s decision to not drink for the past five years has had an unintended, but perhaps beneficial, consequence. I have also begun drinking less. Bjork’s choice has made us stop keeping alcohol at home. This change has been great for us. Drinks? A nice dinner, sure. But drinks for a special occasion? It’s obvious that drinks do not have to be alcoholic to make a moment special. We are fortunate to live in an age when non-alcoholic drinks (NA) are more popular than ever. Good. Like, good-tasting. We’ve tried many different beers and cocktails that have created the same special moment as a glass or cocktail. I poured out all of them so that you could see their color and clarity better. I photographed them in my old scratched up IKEA glass to make it feel like we were tasting them together. Enjoy!
