My Daily Drop Pro Review

I am a huge fan of Daily Drop. It’s an online newsletter that focuses on credit cards, travel and points. My friends Kara and Nate created it (they have a popular YouTube channel with the same name). Daily Drop informs you about the latest updates and news in the airline and hotels industries, including points and miles. Is it worth the price?

As Daily Drop has grown, readers have asked me about the service. It’s time to break down the service and talk about who is right for it. Is it worth the price?

As Daily Drop has gotten bigger, I’ve gotten questions about the service from readers so I figured it was time to breakdown the service and talk about who it is right for.

What is Daily Drop Pro?

According to the team at Daily Drop, Daily Drop Pro was created to be your one-stop shop for flights and hotels (whether with points or cash), deals, and chatting with like minded people in their community forum. The service has five main features:

Flight Points Search

  • Hotel Points Search
  • Deal Alerts
  • Wallets
  • Daily Drop Pro Lounge
  • Let’s walk through all of them.

Flights Point Search

There are lots of websites that let you search for points flights. There are many other websites that allow you to search for points flights. These include Seats.aero (a chrome extension), Points Path, and Points.me. The space has become incredibly crowded in the last few years.

What makes Daily Drop Pro Different?

The main feature that I really, really like is that you change your preferences to narrow the results based on time of day, stops, duration, maximum points, and aircraft type (which is a feature that is unique to them). The feature to compare cash rates is also available, but it only sends you to Google Flights. I don’t see that as a selling point. Hotel Points Search
Daily Drop Pro allows you to search for award spaces for hotels. Daily Drop is the only competitor in this market and has many options to customize your search based on programs, points, awards certificates, hotel programs that you can transfer points from credit cards, and more. Deal Alerts

This tool lists cash and points deals. This feature is great because it allows you to see both cash and award fares. You can select your home airports, choose your preferred travel regions, and let the deals decide your destinations.

Daily Drop Pro’s points deals are detailed, too — showing the taxes and fees of an award, which program to book through and how the redemption stacks up to Daily Drop’s point valuations. It’s one of the more comprehensive deal feeds out there.

Wallet & Points Management

The Wallet lets to link your different accounts (award programs and credit cards) and have them all displayed in one place. It will also remind you about all the benefits, credits and rewards you receive with each loyalty card. Heck, even I forget sometimes and I’m expert at this stuff (but when you start to have double digit cards, it’s a lot to remember)!

The Daily Drop Pro Lounge

The lounge allows you to chat with other members. The message board is not very active. Daily Drop Pro membership costs $149 per year. It takes a little time to enter all of your memberships and cards, but it is worth the effort if you have a lot of credit cards. Even I sometimes forget card benefits. The hotel award feature is the best of its kind. While there are many airline search tools available, I like the enhanced search filters, especially the ability to filter by type of plane! The deals feature allows you to track all of the current deals in one place, rather than having to subscribe to several newsletters or websites. I believe so. Daily Drop Pro is an excellent time-saver. It combines many other programs into one dashboard. Book Your Trip: Tips and Tricks for Logistical Planning

Book your Flight

Find cheap flights by using Skyscanner. My favorite search engine is Skyscanner because it searches all websites and airlines in the world.

Book Your Accommodation

You can book your hostel with Hostelworld. Booking.com is the best option if you don’t want to stay in a hostel. It consistently offers the lowest rates for hotels and guesthouses.

Don’t Forget Travel Insurance

Travel insurance will protect you against illness, injury, theft, and cancellations. This is comprehensive coverage in the event of an accident. My favorite companies that offer the best service and value are:

Want to Travel for Free?

Travel credit cards allow you to earn points that can be redeemed for free flights and accommodation — all without any extra spending. Want to Travel for Free

Travel Credit Cards allow you to earn rewards that can be used to redeem for free flights or accommodation. Discover Cars offers affordable international car rentals. They’ll find you the best and cheapest rental car for your trip, no matter where you are going! Ready to book your trip?
