Mercedes-Benz brings its legendary “Silver Stars From Stuttgart” to ModaMiami
Mercedes made ModaMiami memorable with a stunning lineup.
Taking South Florida by storm as one of the top events for classic cars, ModaMiami welcomed some of the most exclusive automotive examples to the picturesque golf course of the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Along with showcasing everything from a group of Bugatti Veyrons to an exhibit of Queen Elizabeth II’s personal Land Rover collection, the fuel-driven weekend included other events throughout Miami with manufacturers like Mercedes-Benz.
At the event, Mercedes-Benz made a big impression with some of its most legendary cars. The 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR was the star of the show, as it helped to define motorsport’s history. It was also accompanied by the SLR McLaren Stirling Moss, a modern tribute that pays homage to the brand’s racing success. The Moda Classic Drive was led by these icons, which also dominated the Concours d’Elegance where a mixture of vintage pre-war cars, racing legends and modern-day supercars were on display. The 300 SLR, SLR McLaren, and SLR McLaren Stirling Moss were all out on the track to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Mercedes-Benz’s 1955 racing season, when the brand won both the Formula 1 World Championship and the Sports Car World Championship. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR “Uhlenhaut Coupe” still holds the top spot as the world’s most valuable car at EUR135 million.
