Ludacris signs with UTA
EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed multi-platinum, Grammy-winning rapper and actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges for global representation in all areas, including film, television, music touring, and ventures.
The rapper’s second album, Back for the First Time (released 25 years ago), was the inspiration for the signing.
Ludacris’ career spans nearly 30 years. He has sold more than 20 million albums and won three Grammys, including Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, and Best Rap Album. Five of his songs have reached the Billboard Hot 100 at number one. In addition to four No. His musical resume also includes four No. 1 albums on Billboard 200, 56 Hot 100 charted songs, and 18 top 10 Hot 100 records.
Ludacris’s most notable role is as Tej, a tech-savvy mechanic, race organizer and hacker who is a core member of Dominic Toretto’s (Vin Diesel) crew. The Fast & Furious series, which was launched by Universal Pictures in 2001, has been one of the best action films in history. Ludacris plays Tej in the movies, which have evolved since 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, from underground street racing to international espionage. He is also a tech-savvy race organizer, hacker, and mechanic who is part of Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel’s) crew. The franchise has grossed over $7 billion in 11 films. Its next film is expected to hit theaters next.
Ludacris has also appeared in the Best Picture Oscar-winning Crash, and the Oscar nominated Hustle & Flow. He starred with Lil Rel more recently in the Christmas comedy Dashing Through the Snow.
Ludacris, as an entrepreneur opened the restaurant Chicken-n-Beer in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport (HJAA) in 2016, and it will be expanded to LAX by 2023. He is also a brand ambassador for Haagen Dazs Endurance, Mercedes-Benz USA, Movado and Haagen Dazs. He is also a philanthropist and founded The Ludacris Foundation in 2001 to help youths in Atlanta.
Ludacris signed with UTA because of the recent expansion into Georgia’s capital. He is still represented by Chaka Zulu, Jeff Dixon and Fox Rothschild attorney Darrell Miller.
