Justin Bieber performs with SZA at Grand National Tour
Yesterday, Angelenos got to see Justin Bieber perform at SZA’s and Kendrick lamar’s Grand National Tour. The two-time Grammy award winner was a surprise guest. In the second night of the tour at Sofi stadium in Inglewood the “Peaches’ singer surprised the audience as he duetted with the One of Them Days actor “Snooze” from the latter album SOS.
They effortlessly played off each other as they sang the chorus to the toxic love track. SZA performed a falsetto with ease. The “Consideration,” five-time Grammy winner, was seen kissing Bieber on the palm and hand before he twirled around. The crowd went wild as the two finished their brief performance. They then disappeared beneath the stage.

The co-headlining Tour, which first touched down in L.A. on May 21, already featured a surprise performance by Lizzo. She sang the remix of “Special”, the eponymous song from her 2022 album, with SZA. It will be interesting to find out who, if anyone, is brought out for the final night of this tour. (May I suggest Doja Cat, humbly? )
The Grand National Tour has been hotly anticipated ever since it was announced in December. After the performance of the duo at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, in February, the excitement grew even more. Lamar invited SZA to perform “Luther,” a track from his highly acclaimed album GNX. He also performed “All the Stars,” the earworm lead single from the Black Panther Soundtrack that propelled SZA’s career from R&B darling to stardom.
Bieber’s last world tour was in support of Justice. His sixth studio album. The tour ended in February 2023 when he cancelled the remaining dates after several postponements in order to prioritise his health. Bieber, who has appeared on live shows of peers, most recently in March 2023 at Don Toliver’s Rolling Loud during the performance of “Private Landing” with Future, was a guest. However, Bieber wasn’t on stage to sing, appearing to hype up his collaborator.
