Garth Brooks is accused of rape in a lawsuit filed after his own legal action

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles today, a long-time make-up and styling artist for Trisha Yearswood and Garth Brooks claims that the singer of ‘The Thunder Rolls” sexually assaulted and abused her multiple times.

The jury that sought to file a complaint against the financially strapped Jane Roe claims, “Brooks took what he perceived as an opportunity to expose a female worker to a side to Brooks that he hides from the public.” This was after the country star began hiring Jane Roe more frequently in 2019. The jury trial seeking complaint says that Brooks took advantage of the financial hardship Jane Roe was in when he hired her more often.

The filing is so vivid, that it mentions actions of multiple Grammy-winning Brooks which are “too vile to mention here.”

Jane Roe has filed a six-claim lawsuit asking for damages that are not specified. Brooks, in the disguise of John Doe, appeared before a federal court in Mississippi two weeks ago, to stop this so-called “fabricated suit.” Brooks claimed that if the allegations made by Jane Roe were publicized, it would cause “substantial and irreparable harm” to Brooks’ reputation and livelihood.

The bridge has been crossed, since the Wigdor Law representative Jane Roe has called out the Brooks lawsuit in her own actions.
Jane Roe, in her complaint against the singer’s initial action, stated that “the abusive Mississippi Action is a blatant effort to further control and bullying his sexual assault victim using his multi-millionaire resource to game the legal systems.” “While pretending to be having discussions with Ms. Roe regarding the resolution of her legal claims,” she said.
But our legal system is not set up to allow wealthy wrongdoers to run work-arounds on sexual assault victims who attempt to hold perpetrators accountable. But our legal system is not in place to allow wealthy wrongdoers the ability to run work-arounds on sexual assault victims who attempt to hold perpetrators accountable.”

Deadline’s request for comment on Brooks’ sexual assault allegations has not been answered by representatives of Brooks. This post will be updated if they do.

Jane Roe’s lawyers did have some things to say outside the confines their detailed complaint.

In a statement released jointly, Douglas H. Wigdor and Hayley Baker praised Jane Roe for her courage in filing a complaint against Garth Brooks.

The trio added, “The complaint filed shows that sexual predators are not just in Hollywood, corporate America and the rap/rock and roll industry but also the country music world.” We are confident Brooks will face justice for his actions. His attempt to intimidate our client by filing a preemptive lawsuit in Mississippi was an act of desperation. We encourage anyone who has been victimized to reach out to us, as no survivor deserves silence.
