Frontier Airlines offers a limited-time summer all-you-can fly pass for only $399

The all-you can fly pass is the holy grail for frequent travelers. Theoretically, it’s the holy grail that grants you access to an unlimited travel buffet of flight options.

For the last few years, Frontier Airlines has offered a variety of all-you-can-fly passes — some that feel vaguely similar to a subscription model for air travel.

There are seasonal passes, monthly passes and the annual all-you-can-fly pass — and currently, the annual and summer passes are offered at a first-year discount.

Passholders are still charged for full-size carry-ons, checked bags and advance seat assignments — just like you would on any other Frontier flight. To avoid these fees, you need to achieve elite status with Frontier Airlines. It can be obtained by spending money on the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard (r) or matching your status with another travel card. You can then use these benefits to receive complimentary advanced seat assignments or free luggage when flying using this pass. GoWild Passholders can earn Frontier Miles by purchasing these benefits with their GoWild card. The Points Guy has independently collected the information about the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard. Card details have not been provided or reviewed by the card issuer. Pass

Frontier’s all-you-can-fly pass is valid on flights to Frontier’s domestic and international destinations, opening the doors to routes touching the Caribbean, Mexico, and the rest of Latin America.

  • How to use the Frontier flight pass
  • After you purchase the pass, you can search and book your flights on Frontier’s website. Frontier GoWild! is not guaranteed. You may be charged an early booking fee. Frontier states that “last seat availability is not guaranteed” for international travel. You can confirm your travel and book 10 days before departure. In either case, flights are subject to availability and “last seat availability is not guaranteed,” per Frontier.
  • While flights on the pass will qualify as activity in your Frontier frequent flyer account to extend the life of your miles, they will not earn miles or count toward earning elite status for the flight itself.
  • However, flights taken with the pass earn miles on purchases, including bags and seat assignments.

Is the pass available to kids?

The Frontier GoWild! The Frontier GoWild! Pass is open to all travelers, but only those aged 18 and older can purchase it. The idea of a Frontier all-you can-fly ticket is enticing to some travelers. And there are certainly cases where it could make sense.

Unfortunately, it might only be a good deal if you don’t spend much on bags or seat assignments regularly. You must also be happy with the fact that you will not have your flight confirmed until one day prior to travel (or ten days if traveling internationally). If you purchase the pass, it is highly recommended that you secure Frontier Miles Elite status in order to reduce those fees. There are many ways to achieve elite status. You can do so with the co-branded Frontier credit cards, or you can buy or match your current status. In many cases it would be better to buy the flight outright than to pay the $14 plus taxes and fees on top of the hundreds required to purchase the pass. We love the ingenuity put into these passes.

Frontier’s GoWild! The Pass is a good option for those who want to travel where they please, and if seats are available. It would also be good for someone with Frontier elite status, which mitigates many of the incidental fees that come with flying Frontier Airlines (or for someone who is OK with forgoing the items and services than incur such fees).

However, there are many catches, and the exact cost of this pass depends on your travel dates and flight routes.
