Fortnite Battle Royale Chapter 2 Remix includes Snoop Dogg, and more

The music event included Snoop Dogg and Eminem as well as Ice Spice and Juice WRLD. This event takes Fortnite’s global entertainment to another level with a massive takeover of Times Square in New York. (We made it to the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square this week too) As tough a time as gaming has had in the past year, there’s no denying its growth in worldwide entertainment culture.

Fortnite, Ice Spice, and Snoop Dogg delivered a performance in Times Square last night, blending sound and visuals into a stunning takeover. The event was streamed simultaneously in Fortnite. Players were immersed into a cityscape where they could experience the concert live. There was also a sneak preview of Snoop Dogg’s new song, “Gorgeous,” which will be on his upcoming album.

Snoop is in Times Square as well as in Fortnite Battle Royale.

The event, dubbed Remix: The Prelude, kicks off a music and gaming month bridging the real world and Fortnite in the next season of Fortnite Battle Royale, Chapter 2 Remix, launching today.

Chapter 2 Remix arrives with musicians Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD, bringing their fashion, music and artistry to Fortnite alongside the popular original Fortnite gameplay from 2020. In a Fortnite first, players will be able to interact with each artist via themed gameplay locations that launch week by week. The Fortnite Shop offers outfits for each artist, allowing players to express themselves and show their support. Chapter 2 Remix will end on a special Note with Remix: the Finale, a Live Event on November 30, at 11 am Pacific Time. To honor Juice’s legacy and love for Fortnite, all players who log in between 10 p.m. on November 29 and 10 p.m. on November 30 will receive the cel-shaded Slayer Juice WRLD Outfit.

“Jarad always loved to play Fortnite – it was more than just entertainment for him, it was a way to connect with others. Video games helped him form bonds with his family and friends from a young age. Being in Fortnite pays tribute to this connection. Carmela Wallace said in a press release that her son, Jarad “Juice WRLD”, would be thrilled to see his love of games continue to bring people together, just as his music does.

Gaming is big in Times Square with Snoop and Fortnite Battle Royale.

Juice WRLD was killed in a car accident earlier this year. Snoop Dogg, the Icon of Season 6 for the music-driven rhythm-based Fortnite Festival, will be featured in Fortnite Battle Royale this week. “Being a part of Fortnite means creating, playing and sharing my culture and music with the next generation. Cordell is a Fortnite fanatic like me. So when the opportunity arose, we jumped at it to find a way to share my style and sound with him. Snoop Dogg said in a press release that anyone can play as Snoop.

Eminem’s original Fortnite debut was in December 2023. He will return during the week of 11/7. I’m serving up all new gear with a side dish of spaghetti…come get it! Eminem said in a press release that it felt good to be back at Fortnite to cause more mayhem.

And during the week of November 14, Ice Spice will arrive to take you into her experience as the Princess of New York.

“Getting the chance to come to the game and remix the Chapter 2 map is unreal. It’s an honor to be part of such a legendary game, and I’m excited for the players to feel this new vibe. Ice Spice said in a press release that Fortnite is about creativity and connecting with others, and she was excited to add her own twist to the game.

And during the week of November 21, the legacy, music and style of Juice WRLD is celebrated.

This season also introduces Kicks, a brand new cosmetic coming to Fortnite. Kicks’ initial lineup will include Nike and Jordan brand alongside Fortnite original design. More brands will be announced in future. As part of Remix Pass, the first pair of Jordans is available on November 12.
