The phrase in french, which means little suitcase, represents ease and practicality, two things I have always considered important when creating the perfect look. The philanthropist said that while they have kept their iconic designs like the wrap dress but found new ways to make them current. Von Furstenberg’s designs are influenced by the wearers of her brand. The title of the exhibit, “The Woman Before Fashion”, says it all.
