Conor McGregor recently expressed interest in running for president of Ireland. Does the former champion-champ have a chance to win Ireland’s highest office, despite all his fame? ?
Chuck Liddell thinks he just might … telling TMZ Sports he believes “The Notorious” can rack up some votes!
We caught up with “The Iceman” at LAX this week and asked him for his thoughts on McGregor’s desire to run for public office, and whether he sees a world where Conor can actually win.
“He’s a fighter, he’s a champion,” Liddell said. You have that leadership quality. You have this drive. I don’t know his politics, or what he does, but I do know that you are driven. It’s easy to imagine McGregor gaining some support in his own country. He is one of the most recognized athletes in the entire world. Liddell insists that just because he is a great fighter, doesn’t mean he can run his friend’s business. I know that some guys are very good at their jobs, but I’m not one of them. There’s a big difference. “
