Banana Almond Bread

Since the recipe for Chocolate Banana Muffins was such a hit, I figured that would be a good place to find another recipe. Since the Chocolate Banana Muffins recipe was so popular, I thought it would be a great place to look for another recipe.

We had a bit of a heatwave here when I decided this recipe. With heat index over 100deg, I thought I would make this Making Banana Almond Bread on a Traeger Grill takes this treat to another level. The smoky flavor of the wood pellets gives the bread a unique depth, complimenting the sweetness of the bananas as well as the nuttiness from the almonds.

I loved this bread, it’s very similar to the banana bread that we grew up with but the crunch comes from the chopped almonds instead of walnuts and the flavor was awesome!

Mashed ripe banana

Granulated sugar

Light brown sugar

Vegetable oil

  • All purpose flour
  • Baking soda
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Chopped almonds
  • How to make Banana Almond Bread
  • Preheat the oven to 350deg. Spray a loaf pan measuring 9″ x 5 ” with non-stick cooking spray. Then add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir only until the batter is moistened and combined.
  • Spoon the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread comes out clean.
  • Remove the bread from the oven .
  • Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes.

Remove the bread from the pan and cool completely before slicing.
