Artem Chigvintsev, a ‘Dancing With The Stars Pro’ is arrested in Napa
Artem Chigvintsev, a Dancing With the Stars professional dancer, was arrested and detained in Northern California on Thursday morning after an incident of domestic violence.
Chigvintsev has been arrested in Napa County. According to jail records, his bail was set at $25,000. The incident was not further described.
TMZ reported that the Napa County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ that an incident occurred in Yountville just before 10 a.m. when deputies responded a domestic violence complaint. A report states that injuries and an arrest were made on the scene.
No victim has been identified. Chigvintsev is married to Nikki Bella, a former WWE wrestler. It’s not known if she was involved.
ABC is preparing for the 33rd edition of the celebrity dance competition series. Deadline has learned that Chigvintsev is not scheduled to appear in the new DWTS Season, which will premiere on September 17.
It is not surprising that Chigvintsev has been a regular on the U.S. edition for over a decade. He first appeared as a dancer in a troupe and then became a professional in 2014. He has been a part of 12 seasons of DTWS, and 10 of the last 11, including last year when he was paired up with Charity Lawson. In the 2020 season, he won with Kaitlyn Brristowe.
The couple partnered up on the 2017 season of the show.
Chigvintsev also took part in the Dancing with the Stars Live Tour 2024 earlier this year.
