Amanda Knox Makes ‘Laid Cameo’ On “Very small” Set
This post contains information about the season 1 finale of Laid.
Peacock’s Layd has a list of talented guest stars, including Finneas, O’Connell and Chloe Fineman. But the biggest surprise is saved for last.
Zosia Mmet revealed her top-secret scene with Amanda Knox at the end of her dark romantic comedy, which is now available on Peacock. She noted that “respect” for her privacy was a factor in her decision to be cautious.
Mamet said to IndieWire, “We wanted to respect Amanda and her privacy so we kept the set small.” “It was not dissimilar from the scene we shot. She is wonderful, so kind, so intelligent and so open to her experiences. She is a force. She’s the strongest person I’ve met.
Knox also praised her scene with Mamet. She wrote: “It was great to break away from courtroom drama and comeo in this TV Comedy, as well as do a scene,” on Instagram.
Peacock’s “Laid” stars Zosia Mamet, Amanda Knox, and Amanda Peacock.
Mamet is Ruby’s best pal AJ. She dives into Ruby’s mystery, after listening to true-crime podcasts for years. Knox is frequently praised by the character, who was wrongfully convicted of murdering her roommate Meredith Kercher and spent four years behind bars.
Ruby, who slept with AJ’s boyfriend on and off, blew up their friendship, arranges a surprise meal with AJ, her hero, as the ultimate grand gesture.
Mamet explained to Deadline previously that Ruby’s relationship with AJ plays a greater role in the show than romantic relationships.
She said, “I believe female friendships, especially as we age, serve a different purpose from romantic relationships. And I think they can sometimes be much deeper, particularly if you have been friends for many years. “I believe that when these relationships are threatened, it can be a very scary experience. The journey AJ and Ruby take is very real. People don’t often talk about the fact that as we age, terrible things can happen. But sometimes, people also grow apart. It’s horribly sad. It’s important to keep those friendships intact, and hold them in a delicate way.
