Hermès Resort 2026 Collection Review

The Cruise/Resort 2026 season remains in full swing. Chanel transported us to Lake Como, while Gucci ventured deep into the archives (literally). Louis Vuitton traveled to Avignon (a city in southeastern France’s Provence region) and Hermès invited the fashion pack to Shanghai. Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, who was appointed womenswear creative director in 2014, touched down in the Chinese city’s North Bund Bay for the second chapter of the Fall 2025 collection. Inside a custom-built orange pavilion on the edge of the Huangpu River, models emerged from backstage donning knee-high boots with lug soles, mini Kelly bags worn crossbody, ribbed sweaters slung around the waist, and quilted leathers – each in a palette inspired by the equestrian universe

Hermès Resort 2026 Collection Review

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Is this an exercise in selling as much RTV as they can? The styling is very confusing with many layers piled on top of each other. The Hermes woman is much more chic than this.” [KilltheLook]

“All those pullovers tied around the waist are unnecessary noise when you try to understand every look. Otherwise, nice collection, if your idea of summer vacation is admiring fjords and northern lights in Norway.” [Monsieur Cristobal]

“Saw the live-feed for this a few hours ago, and thought it was the start of PFW. But it’s a resort collection, in a far-flung destination? And it’s incredibly over-styled, too? And sparkly boots as well? I wouldn’t expect any of this from Hermes. Otherwise, fab fashions nonetheless.” [engenius]

“It’s so 80s, dated, suffocating, oversized, and with a garish color palette.” [jeanclaude]

“The whole thing feels…heavy. Heavy on the styling, heavy on the material, heavy on the colors/color combination. Any potential beauty of the individual pieces has been drowned out by the overwrought styling. I also don’t see any obvious or clichéd motifs relative to Shanghai. This is a plus for me, but it could very well be that they were just lazy.” [j02215]

“I really dislike her work. It’s always so dusty. This collection has no elegance.” [Norden]
