What is the Volonaut Airbike?

The Volonaut Airbike is a new personal aircraft that is set to change the way we fly. The Airbike was designed by Tomasz Patan who also created the Jetson ONE eVTOL aircraft. There are no propellers or cockpits. Just an ultra-lightweight, aerodynamic frame and jet thrust. The controls are controlled by a helmet equipped with telemetry. You just grip the handlebars as if you were riding a motorcycle and lean forward. Patan wants to keep the exact method of propulsion under wraps for now. Patan is keeping some details on the exact propulsion method under wraps for the time being. Volonaut claims to reach speeds of up to 124 mph. Due to the lack of rotors, you can enjoy 360-degree visibility and fly closer to trees. You can also maneuver more easily in smaller spaces. Since the Airbike made its debut in January, there have been many comparisons to the speeder bikes of Return of the Jedi. The red light strips on the rear give it a Star Wars feel. Volonaut is yet to reveal pricing or launch dates. For some context, Patan’s earlier creation, Jetson ONE eVTOL which provides 20 minutes of electric powered flight and a maximum speed of 63 mph sells for 128,000. JetPack Aviation’s Speeder, a turbine powered flying motorcycle aimed at military and rescue operations, costs $380,000. Other models, such as the Ryse Recon or Skyblazer, are priced between $150k and $250k.
