In the recording, he says: “Music has been a huge part of my life.” I know it’s the same for many other people. It can bring back happy memories from deep within our minds, comfort us when we are sad, and take us to faraway places.
The King continued, “But, perhaps, most importantly, it can lift us spirits to such an extent, and even more so when we come together in celebration.” It brings us joy.
The list includes artists dating back to the 1930s, as well as Kylie Minogue from Australia and Bob Marley from Jamaica. Grace Jones is also Jamaican and Afrobeats and disco stars.
Apple Music Global Head of Content and Editorial Rachel Newman said in a press release that “human curation has always played a major role in our unique editorial approach.” Apple Music Radio is the place where culture happens worldwide. We are honored that Charles III shared his personal playlist with Apple Music Radio and music fans all over the world.
