How to customize your iPhone’s home screen widgets quickly with iOS 18
Apple launched iOS 181001010 more than a year after iOS 181. iOS 18,2 adds a few Apple intelligence new features to certain iPhones. However, iOS 180 gives you even more ways to customize your iPhone. You can customize your lockscreen or homescreen with the operating system. It also allows you to turn your homescreen apps into widgets, and resize them. In previous iOS versions, you had to delete widgets if you did not like their size. You no longer have to take the extra steps to resize your widget. Now, you don’t have to take those extra steps and can instantly resize your widget.Read more:

Long-press on an app until a menu appears. You’ll then see new tiles in the form of widgets.

Some apps, like Weather, show four different sized options: the app icon, a small tile, a longer tile and then a large tile that looks like a whole page. Some apps, such as Contacts, only display the tile icon, and a single other tile option. You can expand your app in real-time by selecting the widget size you’d like to use. Some apps, like Messages, don’t have widgets so you won’t see these options.

Press and hold the widget for a few seconds until a menu appears. Select the size of the widget you’d like to use.
