Blake Lively files formal lawsuit against Justin Baldoni
Bryan freedman is a lawyer who represents Baldoni, his production company Wayfarer Studios, and the plaintiffs in the lawsuit. He told E! News in a statement that the Times “cowered to the wants and whims of two powerful ‘untouchable’ Hollywood elites, disregarding journalistic practices and ethics once befitting of the revered publication by using doctored and manipulated texts and intentionally omitting texts which dispute their chosen PR narrative.”
Regarding the suit against the NYT, Lively’s attorney tells E! News said in a press release that “nothing in this suit changes anything about Ms. Lively’s California Civil Rights Department Complaint or her federal complaint filed earlier today.” “
This lawsuit is based upon the clearly false premise that Ms. Lively’s administrative complaint against Wayfarer was a ruse because she chose ‘not file a lawsuit’ against Baldoni and Wayfarer’,” they continue, “and litigation was never her goal. This is not true, as demonstrated by the federal lawsuit filed by Ms. Lively today. We will not be litigating this matter in the media, but we encourage everyone to read Ms. Lively’s complaint. We are looking forward to answering each and every allegation made by Wayfarer in court.”
