Liam Payne was trying to escape from balcony when he fell to his death
Here’s what we do know. Liam was not a fan of being locked in hotel rooms, something he dealt with while in One Direction. Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Liam had previously used the balcony escape before. Most recently, in mid-September when Liam’s guard was worried he may have been on a drugs binge, and forced him into a Florida rental home room. And, just 2 minutes before he was carried, Liam was standing upright in the lobby.When the hotel employees got Liam to his room, he struggled with them … clearly not wanting to go inside.
Nevertheless, the hotel used a master key to enter the room, put Liam inside and, according to the police report obtained by TMZ, they removed a mirror from the wall directly outside his room, presumably so he wouldn’t damage it.
It’s obvious Liam told the employees he did not want to be in the room and would use the balcony as an escape, because one of those employees called 911 minutes later and said they feared he might use the balcony and accidentally hurt himself. The 911 transcript shows that the hotel employee stated, “I do not know whether his life is in danger.” The hotel staff left Liam in the room alone. He

. The police also found a hat near or on Liam’s corpse. The hat tells the story… it was in his room because he didn’t have it on when he left the lobby. The police report supports this theory. It states that 2 days after Liam died, a hotel worker went to the room directly below Liam and found a brown bag on the balcony. This was not the bag strapped onto his shoulder. Inside the bag, there were pills, Jack Daniels, and a note saying “for Liam”. According to the report, Liam dropped his bag on the balcony of the 2nd floor before attempting to drop himself. The source believes that the Argentinian authorities want to protect the hotel and are
pursuing three people
– a friend, a former employee of the hotel and a waiter who had
allegedly provided Liam drugs. Source believes that the hotel is responsible for Liam’s death, as they cared more about preventing disruptions in the lobby or protecting the property of the hotel than their own safety. “
