What is Raisin Bread Pudding?
Raisin Bread Pudding is a warm, comforting dessert made by soaking stale or day-old bread in a rich, sweet custard mixture, typically flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, and sometimes nutmeg. Raisins add extra sweetness and are baked with the dish until it is golden brown and crisp. The result is a custardy, soft interior, with a crunchy, golden top. It’s a delicious combination of textures.
Often served with whipped cream, ice cream, or a drizzle of caramel sauce, Raisin Bread Pudding is a popular way to make use of leftover bread while creating a satisfying, nostalgic treat.
