1995 Porsche 993 911 GT2 Tribute For Sale

Ask any Porsche enthusiast or collector about their favorite Porsche model and it’s likely that you will hear the 911 GT2 or 911 Turbo most often. These icons are at the opposite ends of performance, but they both represent Porsche’s pursuit of speed and precision. This Porsche 911 GT2 Tribute is a stunning example of combining the best from both worlds to create something truly amazing. It still retains some characteristics that were present in its previous life. This example was built with the intent of creating the “GT2 Touring”, which Porsche never designed. It combines the comfort and functionality of a 911 Turbo, with the style and authenticity of the most desired GT car.

Originally imported to Japan by Mizwa Motors as a factory built example, the 1995 Porsche 911 Turbo was meticulously transformed using OEM parts from the manufacturer into a 993 GT2 tribute. The first owner of the 911 Turbo, who was part of a private collection began upgrading it with a Porsche GT2 widebody. After the current owner received the car, the build continued quickly. He sourced Porsche upgrades like a GT2 Intercooler, OEM Suspension, and very rare period-correct speedline wheels. The 993 GT2 Tribute, which has been around for many years, has won awards such as Best in Show in Radwood 2024, and Class Award in The Amelia Island Concours, alongside icons like the black Ferrari F50, and triple-white Lamborghini countach. It has also been featured at Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7 and Werks Reunion, cementing itself as a well-known build among the Porsche world and its enthusiasts.

As if it couldn’t be any more of a unique build already, a factory Paint-to-Sample Iris Blue Metallic finish makes this GT2 Tribute the ultimate Porsche build. Its factory GT2 widebody lends it an aggressive stance, while every detail was carefully considered, from the GT2 uprights to the imported Rest of World GT OEM lighting including headlights. taillights, turn signals, and fog lights. To keep the exterior pristine for years, the car underwent a full paint correction, followed by paint protection film (PPF) and ceramic coating.

Inside, the cabin keeps the lightweight GT2 spirit alive with some thoughtful and tasteful upgrades. The GT2 steering and shifter keeps things focused on the driver, while Porsche Sport hardback seats in Iris Blue with matching Iris Blue backings add a custom touch. Becker CR210 Bluetooth stereo brings period-correct styling with modern functionality, while a Focal amplifier and speaker improve audio quality. A Porsche Classic owner’s bag, a Purple “VIP” light exclusive to Japan, and a GT2 wheel jack are also included. The numbers-matching status is verified by a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, giving the build an extra layer of authenticity.

Hidden underneath the rear aero, the car is driven by the 911 Turbo’s original factory engine with some extra Porsche factory upgrades. The engine was completely refreshed with OEM GT2 hardware and turbos, as well as an OEM GT2 intercooler and GT2 exhaust. The short-throw gearshift with golden rod gives the classic 911 feel, and the ECU was remapped to allow variable boost by using GT OEM mapping. It has a low-end power output of 420 horsepower and peaks at 550 horsepower. Despite all these GT2-inspired upgrades, it still retains its AWD setup and Turbo VIN, making it a unique, usable, and thrilling tribute to one of Porsche’s most legendary models.
